Top 5 Most underrated Hip Hop Songs

Over the past year there has been a ton of new music released in hip hop. At times it can be difficult to sort through the large amounts of music that come out. We have done some of the work for you. We have compiled a list of the top 5 most underrated songs that have come out in the past few years. Check out the top 5 most underrated Hip Hop Songs below.

5) Future Benjamins Burn

In the fifth spot we have “Benjamins Burn” by Future. This is probobly in my opinion one of the best Future songs he has ever made. The production is handled by DJ Esco off his E.T Esco Terrestrial Mixtape which came out approximately 5 months ago. There wasnt much media coverage surrounding this tape. If you haven’t listened to it I highly suggest you do.

4) Vic Mensa – Shades Of Blue

The fourth spot goes to Shades Of Blue by Chicago native rapper Vic Mensa. The song is off his latest EP There’s Alot Going On. Highly underrated project if you ask me. This song is no different. The flow lyrical content is unmatched in this song. Vic delves into the current Flint Water crisis & more on Shades Of Blue. Check it out below.

3) Schoolboy Q – Ride Out (ft Vince Staples)

The third place slot goes to Schoolboy Q for his song Ride Out featuring Vince Staples. This song is off his latest project Blank Face LP. This is a true west coast gang record featuring no one better than Vince Staples who delivers a fierce verse along with Schoolboy Q who does his thing. Check out the track below.

2) The Game , Future & Sonyae – Dedicated

This second spot goes to The Game for his song Dedicated featuring Future & Sonyae off his Documentary 2 album. This may be surprising to some of you but in my opinion it is well deserved. The song details The Games relationship troubles and features passionate and direct bars about his current lifestyle. The hook is handled by Future who gives us a different style that we are not used to where he melodically sings the melody giving the listener a very relaxed and layed back vibe. Towards the end of the track Sonyae comes in and does her thing putting the cherry ontop. The passionate and lyrically strong verse from The Game combined with Futures very talented singing on the hook of the song shapes it up to be a very underrated track. Check it out below.

1) Tyler The Creator – Smuckers

The number 1 spot goes to Tyler The Creator for Smuckers off his album Cherry Bomb. The track features Kanye West & Lil Wayne. That alone is something you don’t see every day. Tyler flows over the tracks soul sampled beat with precision , then Kanye delivers hilarious similes like usual and Lil Wayne finishes off the track with his throwback signature sound.
